R&D Scientist - Proteins

Job Summary: The R&D Scientist - Proteins is responsible for for leading and executing laboratory work to develop new products and services and improve exisiting products/processes. This individual is expected to be motivated and capable of efficient prioritization, planning, and scheduling multiple projects to effectively meet pre-determined deadlines. Responsibilities: - Research and develop new products, services, and technologies
- Develop project execution plans and timelines
- Lead and execute experiments and data analysis
- Create detailed project summary reports, present findings and recommendations to senior management
- Actively contribute to team setting to increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, and improve quality
- Perform reviews of technical documentation and professional publications
- Provide technical expertise and resources to Aldevron colleagues
- Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teammates from different departments on development of new products and services
Qualifications: - The R&D Scientist - Proteins has hands-on experience in fields of protein expression, purification and characterization. Experience with Gene Editing is a plus.
- Degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a closely related field (Bachelors degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience, Masters degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience)
