Lecturer of Biology
The Department of Biology at Emmanuel College invites applications for a Lecturer position to begin in September 2022. We seek a broadly trained biologist that shares the department's commitment to inclusive STEM pedagogy and practices. Our colleague would instruct lecture and lab courses (Nutrition, Introductory Biology, Anatomy and Physiology) in both the biology and nursing programs, and upper-level elective courses in their area of specialization. The Department of Biology is located in the Wilkens Science Center, blocks from the Longwood Medical Area, and is equipped with excellent teaching and research facilities and scientific instrumentation. The teaching requirement for this position is 4 courses (lectures and labs) in both the fall and spring semesters.
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must have a PhD in biology or related field, and a commitment to teaching undergraduates; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
