Job Title: Facilities HVAC Technician Location: Coralville, IA Purpose Statement: The HVAC Technician installs, maintains, repairs and inspects mechanical equipment and electrical systems associated with HVAC and industrial humidification equipment. This position also participates in general facility related work. Essential Functions: Maintains central HVAC distribution systems, as well as other systems. Inspects work to assure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Requisitions and/or purchases supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment. Ensures the proper use, care and storage of tools and equipment. Changes all varieties of filters/belts on HVAC equipment. Performs general facility related work, including laboratory fit out, after hours snow removal and project clean up. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours and on-call hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand. Performs maintenance tasks on refrigeration systems. Records and updates maintenance management system upon completion of work. Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Universal CFC license for refrigeration preferred. Valid drivers license required.
