Join Apples Cloud Services (ACS) team as a Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) passionate about delivering the outstanding cloud infrastructure that our best-in-class services rely on (e.g., iCloud, Music, Apple TV, Siri, Maps, Apple Pay, and more). This role requires excellent project management skills and a strong cloud infrastructure background. You will be encouraged to work closely with engineering teams and build collaborative relationships with cross functional teams. The Compute team is developing infrastructure services and products including multiple Kubernetes services, Infrastructure-as-Code tooling to support multi-cloud deployments (Internal Cloud and 3rd party clouds), and scheduling services for large concurrent job execution. We work directly with engineering leads, partner teams, and application teams that drive the future of services at Apple! We are exposed to the challenges and rewards of delivering infrastructure services that operate at substantial scale. We're a fast paced organization with goals, large internal customers, and the chance to create a difference for both our internal application/service teams and our end user customers!
Key Qualifications
Strong background of delivering innovative cloud infrastructure projects of varying scale and complexity on time.
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, compute instance types, IaaC (Infrastructure as Code), and job scheduling technologies.
Familiarity with operating cloud infrastructure at scale.
Able to collaborate and connect with partner teams, internal customer teams, and senior leaders cross-functionally.
Proven understanding of program management methodologies, OKRs, and Agile.
Ability to drive the use of standard methodologies and processes (e.g., planning, schedule management, Agile, communications) to help engineering teams be more effective.
Description
In this role, you will drive projects that leverage groundbreaking open-source technologies and custom services to deliver infrastructure that support applications/services at a large scale. You are encouraged to run projects that focus on iterative delivery of critical cloud infrastructure. Strong skills in communication, collaboration and decision making are meaningful. You will listen to different perspectives, help surface innovative ideas, and drive decisions that will move us forward. Youll need a strong background in program and project management complemented by a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure.
Education & Experience
BA/BS in Computer Science with 4+ years of development and project delivery experience (or equivalent)
