We know what to do, the question is who is willing to put for the effort to make the changes necessary. I believe in action, and we as a people are so very powerful, but what do we do with our power. We buy expensive clothes, cars, etc. We should be reinvesting in our future, the re-education of our people. Our mindset must change in order for us to grow. And no not everyone is going to jump at the opportunity but once we make the effort others will soon follow!

I agree with you Sister Tuggle, but in order for the “mindset” to change, I think beyond the 4 corners of classroom education, we need to broaden our life experiences through travel and what I call "sought out" knowledge. How can we do this? Instead of investing our monies in depreciating material possessions, we need to learn how to amaze wealth through investing in real estate (rental properties, beach homes, & Timeshares), investing in the education of the younger generation, and investments in our self run businesses (similar to how Magic Johnson has done). I also will site the creators of the Connect Platform sites which make BWC & BIA social networking possible for us to come together to discuss what the next item on the agenda should be. This is a prime example of thinking outside the box!!
Our people need control of our own destinies rather than continuing with the status quo and affirmative action. I’m not knocking affirmative action; because it helped me get to where I am today to a certain extent, but beyond Affirmative action is being Proactive in one’s own situation/destiny. Let’s start thinking outside of the box a lot more In order to create posterity for our children’s children. After all, we do have a lot of buying power that is being invested on the wrong things that amount to nothing in the end.
Doc and by the way, I'll bring the caddied yams and the ham. (((Lol)))

We need to reintroduce ourselfs. Build up our esteem by changing the images, and nonchalant portrayls of us. Our music, movies, newscasts, and treatment of each other should change. I posted on my outside blog how beautiful the civil rights era was because we truly united as one peacefully and willingly. If we can bring that spirit back and keep it wow how much we would change. All other cultures have been able to maintain this spirit within them. We used to have it and now it's time to get back to it.

A much needed "reality" check...Like maybe why do we so resist the simple "truth" on matters from s*x to our prejudices at the expence of a proper education system that keeps failing and falling behind each generation...
