Talk about close to home!
I live 15 minutes away in the suburb of Maple Heights, this took place in Cleveland.
I've been following this story since last Thursday when police found the first two bodies. Apparently Cleveland police went to arrest Anthony Sowell,Thursday night on a rape charge, 37 days after a woman told them she was beaten and raped inside Sowell's home. Can you believe that? After 37 days?
The time between the report and attempted arrest has raised questions about whether police should have acted more quickly, has turned this city upside down.
The last count found of dead African American Women so far has been 10, as crews are still digging as I speak.
Last thursday when they went to arrest the convicted s*x offender on the rape charge, he was not at home. They found two bodies. Investigators found four more bodies friday. Sowell remained at large for nearly two days untill police arrested him walking down the street Saturday about a mile from where he lived.
I should note here that Anthony never drove he walked or rode the bus.
Crews started digging again Tuesday and discovered four more bodies and a skull of another in a plastic bucket in the basement.
I should also note that Anthony lived at this house since 2005, after serving 15 years in prison for raping a woman in East Cleveland.
It is known that at least out of five of these women, they were strangeled and most likely all were raped.
All women who told police Sowell attacked them had previous arrests for offenses ranging from solicitation to drug charges to assault, among others.
I have a real problem with this whole scene on several issues.
1. How in the Hell, ( I'm a minister, I can say the word "Hell"), Can almost 10 women be missing within a community regardless of their character and nobody knows nothing?
2. Why in the Hell does it take 37 days to investigate the accusations pertaining to a s*x offender when you know where he lives?
3. No matter what your drug of choice is or what your plans are to get it or what company you choose to share that drug with.... You can't tell people, not no one where you're going or with who you'll be with? Not even a fellow Junkie friend? Not nobody? ( we know how to tell everthing else!)
Out of 10 missing women, you would think somebody told somebody about Anthony.
I hope you all understand why little ole me is here in Cleveland working on trying to enlighten women and helping them discover the Goddess in themselves.
For a year now, he have helped over 25 women turn their lives around.
I'm just sad that there was 10 we couldn't get to in time.
And still the crew digs.
