I've been involved with HBCU Connect for a few years. It is interesting and rewarding to see the progress of so many who have completed their studies at America's Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The contribution that HBCUs have made to the development of the American society will never go unnoticed.
While we continue to strive to establish our foundations in life, business, employment, let us also take stock of the possibilities of exploring options to our lives that we can benefit from. The impact of Hurricane Sandy and the winter storm has demonstrated clearly that we, in spite of our achievements, do not control many occurrences in our lives. A moment of calm can erupt into a crisis in a split second. And most of us are not prepared.
While we cannot control, or even predict the course of Nature or its consequences, we can be a bit more prepared. Natural disaster and emergencies are not restricted to 3rd world countries as Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina have demonstrated as well as the tornadoes, wild fires and earthquakes that strike the American continent.
GOFoods Global has developed a program where individuals and families can obtain healthy food products that are produced with the highest quality standards. These products can be prepared in a matter of minutes for the busy professional or student. They also have a long term shelf life, which means that you can always have food available in the event of strained inventories or inability to get to a store during an emergency.
